Denver loves to do things in costume, and the spooky season is no exception. Here are Eater's most anticipated Halloween and Day of The Dead celebrations:

MONSTER BRUNCH
When: Sunday October 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Ellyngton's at The Brown Palace
What: Ellyngton's restaurant at the Brown Palace undergoes a transformation every Halloween for a special brunch, with costumed wait staff and Halloween themed food. Tickets cost $63.95 for adults and $18.95 for children.

SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN BASH
When: Thursday October 31 through Saturday November 2
Where: Zengo restaurant
What: Zengo's holiday themed Blood Orange Margarita will be available at Zengo for $5 during three days of Halloween parties going on at the restaurant. Enter your photo from one of these parties into the Sppoktacular costume photo contest for a chance to win a $100 Zengo gift card.

FORT COLLINS BREWERY HALLOWEEN PARTY
When: Thursday October 31, 4 to 9 p.m.
Where: Fort Collins Brewery
What: This annual bash includes carnival-themed food by Fort Collins Brewery's pub Gravity 1020 and a costume party at 7 p.m.

HALLOWEEN DINNER AT CAFE BAR
When: Thursday October 31
Where: Cafe Bar
What: The three courses of this prix fixe dinner are named Knife In The Heart (Berkshire pork heart), Poultygiest (Silkie chicken), and Trick or Treat (pumpkin pie with house-made candy corn).

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION
When: Friday November 1, 3 to 8 p.m.
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens
What: Make traditional sugar skulls and papel picado, and enjoy face painting, a photo booth, and many other Dia De Los Muertos activities at the Denver Botanic Garden's welcoming of souls. Tickets to this family friendly event cost $12 for adults and $8 for children (even less for Botanic Gardens members) and there will be Mexican food available for additional purchase.

COMIDA CELEBRATES DAY OF THE DEAD
When: Wednesday October 30, 6 p.m.
Where: Longmont Comida, 721 Confidence Drive
What: There will be a Dia de Los Muertos Party at the Longmont Comida location to honor past loved ones with a special menu from Chef Serena Romeo that includes drink pairings. There will also be a halloween costume contest with a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Comida.
More info and tickets: The multi-course meal with drink pairings costs $65 before tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 720.204.6455.
