The burgerville that is Denver will get another burger-centric eatery chain early in 2014. The first Bad Daddy's Burger Bar is slated to open in Cherry Creek. The second will be in a new development at 120th Avenue in Northglenn.
Founder and operator of Bad Daddy's Frank Scibelli opened the original Bad Daddy's Burger Bar in Charlotte, North Carolina with Dennis Thompson in 2007. Together they researched burger trends and other food trends to create a menu sourced from regional purveyors and farmer's markets.
The menu at Big Daddy's features more than 10 specialty burgers bigger than your face, including the Mama Ricotta's Burger topped with fresh mozzarella, pesto, and tomatoes, and the Frenchie turkey burger with brie, applewood-smoked bacon, and grilled apples. There is a make-your-own burger option, a make-your-own salad menu item, and an entirely different menu dedicated to gluten-free options. Bad Daddy's also serves an extensive breakfast spread, with multiple scrambles, eggs benedict, and of course, a breakfast burger.
To-date, Bad Daddy's has eight North Carolina locations and plans to expand nationally. Charlotte Magazine has given the company the Best Burger award for the past five years, and earlier this year Zagat named Bad Daddy's as having one of the top 25 burgers in the country.
