CAUTION West On The Verge Of Becoming Lakewood's First Microbrewery

This week, CAUTION: Brewing Company will become Denver's first microbrewery to open a second brewery and taproom. The brewery's first location at 12445 E. 39th Avenue, just outside of Stapleton, has been wildly successful since its opening in May 2012. The new brewery, fondly known by its owners as CAUTION West, is in the owners' stomping grounds in Lakewood at 1057 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Unit 60.

What to expect from the new digs? A larger taproom and patio, three times the size of the original location, that seats 70 people. A 16-tap draft system that serves the brewery's award-winning beers like the Lao Wang Lager, Card Your Mom Saison, and the Honey Matrimony Brown Ale. And a whole new line of specialty beers made for the Lakewood customers.

The brewery plans to host a grand opening in January. It will host food trucks on weekends; the owners are working with a local chef on opening a food truck that will feature Asian and Latin cuisine, food they say will pair perfectly with their Lao Wang Lager.

CAUTION West is Lakewood's first microbrewery. Final city inspections take place this week, and owners Betty Fey and Danny Wang hope to open their doors immediately after the inspection. Stay tuned on the company's Facebook page.
