Downtown and Uptown workers now have a new way of lunching: sandwiches at the second location of Masterpiece Deli in the Wells Fargo Center. The new sandwich joint set two blocks off the 16th Street Mall, close to the Capitol and right in the heart of the business district opened its doors for family and friends this past weekend and is now ready to serve the masses.
The original LoHi location of Masterpiece Deli gained loyal fans from a small space. With three times the seating capacity plus a 25 seat heated covered patio and the same commitment to "fine dining between bread," the new location of the deli co-owned by chef Justin Brunson of Old Major will serve sandwiches, soups and salads on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Wells Fargo Center location has a fully equipped gas kitchen with ovens and smokers to prepare classic meats such as brisket, corned beef, pastrami, roast beef and pork shoulder. Staple sandwiches like the white truffled egg salad sandwich, the braised beef brisket, and the Cubano will be available here. An addition to this outpost is a store case with products available to take and go such as pre-made sandwiches and salads, cured and smoked deli meats and pastries from a menu that will be updated often.
A delivery system has been put in place on a bright yellow Sportique delivery scooter. When the deli is not open for weekday service, it will be available for private functions with the option for customized menus. Bonus: more locations of the sandwich shop are planned for the future.
This morning only, until 11 a.m, the eatery is offering a FREE small Novo Coffee, brewed with its custom Butcher's Blend, with your breakfast purchase. Mention the post Facebook to get the deal.
