New Lunch Spot

newosage.pngThe Osage Cafe, located at 1099 Osage St., a lunch spot in the Mariposa neighborhood where low-income youths who are chefs-in-training do the cooking, opens to the public on Tuesday, the Denver Post reported. Denver Housing Authority has trained young chefs for six years — seven at a time, in a small kitchen, serving food just through catering through its Youth Culinary Academy. The new cafe features a bigger kitchen and allows the young cooks to have customers every day. [DP]
