Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 19, several restaurants join forces to support former Denver chef Drew Inman in his battle with cancer with a fundraiser for his growing medical expenses. Inman, only 41 years of age, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and he doesn't have health insurance.
The participating restaurants are Mizuna, Luca d'Italia, Bones, Osteria Marco, Russell's Smokehouse, Green Russell, Lou's Food Bar, Vesper Lounge, Barolo Grill, and Potager. These establishments will donate a portion of sales from February 19 to chef Drew Inman and the Lung Cancer Alliance.
Chef Drew Inman left Denver in 2008 to join chef and partner Rebecca Weitzman in New York City. What he left behind was culinary footprints and many friends in some of Denver's finest kitchens, including Mizuna, Luca d'Italia, Barolo Grill, Potager and Fruition. Though Inman hasn't lived in Denver for the past five years, memories of his ease in the kitchen and his passion for the art of cooking remain with a number of Denver restaurateurs — Frank Bonanno of Bonanno Concepts, Blair and Suzanne Taylor of Barolo Grill and Teri Rippeto of Potager just to name a few.
Go out and dine to participating restaurants on Tuesday to help chef Inman.
