Westword's food critic, Gretchen Kurtz, visited True Food Kitchen in Cherry Creek for this week's review. The health conscious restaurant that opened in October, is one of six in the country. All in all, Kurtz is satisified with the dining experience, although the restaurant is perpetually packed and the waits for a freshly juiced "kale-aid" can get long. Favorite dishes included the onion tart, edamame dumplings, and the steelhead salmon. She noted the spa-like atmosphere and the feeling of being full, but not weighed down upon leaving- a novel concept for many diners.
Ruth Tobias of Denveater raves about Linger's raw meze trio in this week's Dish of the Week. She describes the healthy starter composed of a cashew ranch dip, a green-olive chutney, and a sweet and savory beet cheesecake as luscious. In other blog news, 5280's Carol W. Maybauch praises the day boat scallops at Boulder's L' Atelier in Table Talk's Best Bites column.
