BookBar, a Wine Lounge and Bookstore, Will Open in Berkeley This Spring

New, 2 comments

BookBar, a new book store and wine bar, will open in the former Bookery Nook space on 43rd and Tennyson. Conceived as a book shop for wine lovers and wine shop for book lovers, BookBar aims to be a community gathering place where guests can read and sip or meet and discuss.

The new bookstore will feature new authors and new titles by old favorites, classics and must-reads, as well as unique literary events. BookBar hopes to also serve as a location for book clubs and community meetings. Wine and beer, tea and coffee, hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be available for patrons to enjoy. Ryan and Nicole Sullivan, the husband and wife team behind this project, have already obtained the liquor license and plan to open BookBar's doors this spring.
