Renegade Publik House opened its doors in the DU neighborhood. The new pub will provide the twenty-something professionals and new homeowners in the area a "comfortable and friendly place to enjoy a pint with their neighbors," as Brian O'Connell of Renegade Brewing puts it.
The menu is simple and will stay this way. Guests can browse a selection of handcrafted pizzas, fresh salads, and an ever-changing chef's plate featuring locally sourced ingredients.
In a neighborhood rife with sports bars offering mass-produced suds, Renegade Publik House will cater to lovers of craft beer, offering 25 taps— five reserved for Renegade Brewing— as well as a bottle and can list with another 25 offerings, featuring three Renegade beers. O'Connell hinted at some rare brews he's been saving to pour exclusively at the Publik House, too.
The fifty-five seat beer-centric joint will be open Monday through Wednesday from 3 to 11 p.m., Thursday from 3 p.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight. Hours of operations may eventually expand to include lunch or weekend brunch.
