Purple Door Coffee, a New Coffee House, Will Open in the Five Points Neighborhood

Purple Door Coffee, a coffee house that set as its mission giving job opportunities to homeless youth and young adults in need, will open its doors in the Five Points neighborhood on April 15. In a cozy yet modern space, this new coffee shop will brew beans sourced from local roaster Corvus Coffee.

The name, Purple Door, is a reference to the regal significance of the color and the joint's commitment to treating people like royalty no matter who they are or what their life has looked like. The non-profit cafe was created by Madison Chandler and Mark Smesrud with inspiration from Dry Bones Denver, a local organization committed to serving the large population of homeless teens and young adults in downtown Denver.
