In response to the Boston Marathon bombing, Patxi's Pizza, which has two Denver-area locations, hosted a ten-store fundraiser in partnership with San Francisco-based law firm Hanson Bridget LLP . Through donations of 10% of in-store sales over a one-day period, Patxi's aimed to raise $10,000 to donate to The One Fund Boston. The pizza chain achieved its ambitious goal and partner Hanson Bridget LLP matched that goal with an additional $10,000.
Glaze, the Japanese-inspired bakery located in the Congress Park neighborhood, hosted its own fundraiser for The One Fund Boston. Through the sale of Boston Cream Mini cakes, tip donations, and more, the independently-owned bakery donated $1000 to the Boston-based nonprofit established specifically to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred during the Boston Marathon on April 15.
