Pending one more approval from the city which should clear today, Marg's Taco Bistro will open its third location Uptown at 500 E. 19th Street. The 3200 square foot space, complemented by a large patio, will serve the same food that guests have become accoustomed to at the other two Margs locations, one in LoDo at 1519 Wynkoop Street and another in Cherry Creek at 200 Fillmore Street.
The menu focuses on world cuisine expressed through Mexican tacos. The team behind the restaurant brings inventive tacos like the Korean Pork and the Caprese, both served on hand-pressed flour tortillas and aims to use the freshest ingredients available. The menu pairs many of its dishes with specialty margaritas, cocktails, and Marg house wines.
A popular drink, the Cadillac Marg, combines Proximus Blanco, Grand Marnier, and Marg's housemade mix, while the Spicy Cuke features jalapeno-infused Sauza Blue Reposado, muddled cucumber, fresh lime and agave nectar.
The space was designed by JoAnn Brutsch, the wife of Bryan Brutsch, one of three partners in the business. The interior highlights include barn wood, brick walls, a variety of colorful light fixtures reminiscent of the other two Margs locations, and soft green tones on the chairs and banquettes. There are several larger tables accommodating parties of 8 or 10, as well as an area that can accommodate private parties in a semi-private environment. A shuffle board and several TVs add to the entertainment.
The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and, unlike the other two, will serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
