Jonathan Greschler, a seasoned front of the house professional and sommelier, seems to have landed on his feet from the drama following his departure from Old Major. Greschler, who was fired from his general manager position at the LoHi restaurant and vocalized his displeasure with those events in harsh words, has joined the team at Coohills. The restaurant, owned and operated by chef Tom Coohill and his wife Diane, hired Greschler as a manager and sommelier effective immediately. His first day is today.
The French restaurant has a strong wine program that is likely to fit Greschler's qualifications as a sommelier. "We are excited to have Jonathan's perspective and input on our wine program," Diane Coohill says. "We want someone who can come on board and know the ins and outs of wine pricing and service and we're confident that Jonathan is the right guy for that," she adds.
Greschler's departure from Old Major was one of the major shifts at the young restaurant, but the word on the street is that Paul Attardi, former maitre d' at Fruition, who joined Old Major only two weeks ago, is settling well into his new role. Attardi is on the floor working as maitre d' five nights a week.
