A reliable source tells Eater that Del Frisco's, the Dallas-based steakhouse that operates a Greenwood Village location, will open a new restaurant in Denver's Cherry Creek North. The restaurant is rumored to be working on a lease for a space currently occupied by Kazoo Toys at 2930 E. 2nd Avenue. The toy store would not leave the neighborhood but would relocate to a smaller space within a block distance.
If other Del Frisco's locations are a model for this one, the space will be traditional with dark woods and paneled walls, a classic steakhouse look. The offerings at Del Frisco's Greenwood Village are typical of an upscale steakhouse emphasizing aged USDA Prime Beef. Del Frisco's will add another upscale meaty chain to a neighborhood already populated with Earl's, Cherry Creek Grill, and Houston's.
