Last night at Elway's Cherry Creek, Denver Health Foundation hosted the fifth annual Hot Rocks Griller Challenge fundraiser. This cooking challenge pitted some of Denver's top chefs against each other in a heated competition. The winners in the People's Choice category were: 1st Tyler Wiard & Aniedra Nichols of Elway's Cherry Creek; 2nd Troy Guard of TAG, TAG Raw Bar and TAG Burger Bar, and 3rd Steve Ballas of Steve's Snappin' Dogs. In the Chef's Choice category Troy Guard of TAG, TAG Raw Bar and TAG Burger Bar came in 1st, Max Mackissock of Squeaky Bean placed 2nd, and Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja, Bistro Vendôme & Euclid Hall came in 3rd place.
Attendees enjoyed juicy sliders and hearty side dishes expertly paired with wine, live music by Chris Daniels and the Kings , and a silent auction. And the best part for the organizers, the Denver Health Foundation is that the event helped raise awareness and funds for its men's health programs.
