Today, Tony Pasquini announced in an email that the Cherry Creek location of Tony P's will shutter after the 4th of July weekend. The restaurant, located in the former home of Panera at 240 Milwaukee Street, opened early in 2012 and will stop having regular business hours today.
The Cherry Creek location was the first location of a pizzeria owned by Tony Pasquini and his mother Judy to be named Tony P's after a legal feud with Tony's sister Melinda over the ownership of the name Pasquini's. Just over a month ago, that legal feud has finally been resolved with the name Pasquini's going to Melinda.
Below is the email sent by Pasquini announcing the closure.
Greetings,I want to let you know that we're closing our location at 240 Milwaukee in Cherry Creek. We will be open for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival on July 5, 6 and 7.
As of Sunday June 16th, we will no longer be open during regular business hours.
However, we are delivering to Cherry Creek customers from our 17th Avenue location.
I want to thank you on behalf of myself, my family and my mother Judy Pasquini. I want to express to you how appreciative we are of your support, your loyalty and your business. We are truly fortunate to have such good friends, family and customers.
We will continue to operate the Tony P's Highland at 32nd and Zuni, Tony P's 17th at 17th and Clarkson, and our namesake restaurant in Lone Tree at Quebec and 470 in Lone Tree.
In doing so, we are re-committing ourselves to the values that we hold dear—appreciation for others, helping people in the community, and respecting those from all walks of life.
We pride ourselves on being a place in the neighborhood where friends and family come together to enjoy each other's company and celebrate life with good food and good drink.
I've enclosed an offer for a free dessert at our Highland and 17th Avenue stores.
Please forward this on to all your email contacts, as we want to spread the word that we are still here, still going strong and want to spread our positive vibe to as many people as possible.
Thank you for your continued support.
