The Squeaky Bean Now Featuring the Gandolfini as a Special Shrine Cocktail

New, 5 comments

The world is grieving the early departure of James Gandolfini, the actor who portrayed Tony Soprano in the popular HBO series the Sopranos. To celebrate the life and accomplishments of the actor who passed away at age 51 in Italy during a trip, the Squeaky Bean has created the Gandolfini. This drink combines 2 ounces of Buffalo Trace Whiskey, half an ounce of Strega, and another half an ounce of Averna and is served over a hand carved cube with a twist.

The Gandolfini will be available until the next icon adorns the shrine and a new cocktail is made in their honor. Shrine cocktails may be new at the Bean, but the shrines are not. With quirky but respectful playfulness, the restaurant has maintained two shrines by its bar: one permanently dedicated to Farah Fawcett, complete with a photo of the actress, and another that changes as stars and pop icons pass away.
