When you think of greasy spoons, the no-brainer is always diners, but the world of deliriously satisfying greasy food stretches far beyond them. For Eater's Greasy Spoons Week, a few unexpected fancier, if you wish, dishes were selected to be featured each day.
First up, the Carnitas Papas Fritas at Euclid Hall. The LoDo gastropub owned by chef Jennifer Jasinski and her business partner Beth Gruitch, features several Poutine dishes, but this one is the most outrageous. In a unique cultural combination, this Mexican twist on the Canadian staple brings together tomatillo green chile, cheddar curds and goat cheese, cilantro, chile lime fries. The dish is available for $ 12.50 with many beers to be paired with.
