The classic club sandwich is a concept that many of Denver's restaurants serve with a twist. Freshcraft serves salmon seared and served in a warm pita with lemon caper cream, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and romaine. Masterpiece Deli serves a Thanksgiving-style turkey club with French Brie cheese, seasonal pears, arugula, and cranberry honey. Vine Street Pub serves the Boom Boom Sandwich: portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheese, fresh basic, garlic mayonnaise and mesclun greens on Udi's ciabatta bread.
At Sassafras American Eatery, add bacon to the zesty fried green tomato and goat cheese sandwich for a fresh take on the BLT. At Rackhouse Pub, the sandwich is made with turkey, bacon, avocado, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato and mayo on garlic toast. And one classic version that everyone seems to be fond of is the one at Ship Tavern at the Brown Palace. If you have a favorite, share it in the comments below.
