There is something about live music, summertime, and restaurants. Three popular eateries- Coohills, Central Bistro & Bar, and Café Aion now host weekly live music events, giving guests one extra reason to hang out on their patios.
Coohills kicked off its award-winning summer concert series on the bridge, Beats on the Creek, last Tuesday with Under A Blood Red Sky – The U2 Tribute performing. The restaurant has teamed up with the Global Livingston Institute as the non-profit beneficiary of the concert series. Every week, a music shows will be featured from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tonight, the Tracksuit Wedding AND Something Underground will play. The next two weeks will feature the Hazel Miller Band (July 30) and Oakhurst for the final August 6 show. Beats on the Creek takes place on the bridge overlooking the Cherry Creek.
Café Aion, the Boulder restaurant located on the Hill, hosts its music nights on Thursdays starting at 6:30 p.m. Local performers are featured each week. Last week, the evening featured the Petite Chanteuse. Aside from music, Thursdays offer guests the restaurant's Colorado beef burger and a Colorado beer paired for just $15.
At Central Bistro & Bar, every Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. is music night. The free music series kicked off on July 14 with the Mike Maurer Band and last Sunday, the French Nilla Band played for guests. For July 28, the restaurant has the New Ben Franklins scheduled to play. Specially priced drinks are offered weekly for these events.
