Chefs Jennifer Jasinski and Richard Sandoval Will Host Top Chef Masters Viewing Parties

Bravo's Top Chef Masters season five will debut tomorrow evening with Denver's Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja and Richard Sandoval of Tamayo among the 13 contenders. Chef Jasinski will be competing to win the $100,000 prize for local charity Work Options for Women while Sandoval will hope to win for C-CAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program).

Both chefs are hosting viewing parties for this first episode. Richard Sandoval will be at al Lado (1610 Little Raven Street) to watch the competition unfold. The event kicks-off at 7 p.m with a complimentary cocktail and appetizers for guests. The competition will ve broadcast on the big screen while mini-master guest competitions will take place in the restaurant with Sandoval judging. Other highlights include bottle give-aways and a DJ spinning pre and post party. There is no cover charge or need to register, but you may want to get there early for a good seat.

For her part, Jasinski will co-host her party with her charity, Work Options for Women, in an open house format at 5150 S. Quebec Street. Space is limited and registration is recommended. Guests can register at topchefmasterspremierparty.eventbrite.com

Spoiler alert: if you don't want to know whether Jasinski advances into the competition, shield your eyes now. Back in February, a tipster informed Eater that the now-James Beard Award winning chef was spotted in LA on the set of the show. At that time, there were five chefs left in the game, Jasinski and New York chef David Burke included, so don't sweat the first few episodes being too nervous for the hometown chef.
