LODO — On Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 4 p.m., Wynkoop Brewing Company is hosting the United Tastes of Belgium. At this annual, the brewery located at 1634 18th Street will sample favorite Belgian beers, chocolates, and cheeses. Among the featured beers are Crooked Stave's St. Bretta Summer Whitebier (plus two others from the same brewery), Odell's Celastrina, and Elevation's Third Base Belgian Tripel. BOULDER/DENVER– Mustard's Last Stand, a fast-casual chain that got its start in Boulder, will celebrate 35 years in business on Sunday, July 28. Chicago-native owner Dan Polovin opened the first location at 1719 Broadway in Boulder. and in celebration, the joint will be slinging $.99 dogs, handing out free desserts, and offering prizes from noon to 4 p.m. A second celebration, featuring the same specials, will be unleashed at the first Denver location ( 2081 S. University) on August 4.
