Berthoud, Colorado's City Star Brewing won a gold medal in the 2013 U.S. Open Beer Championship for their Bandit Brown English brown ale, a beer that also won a gold medal at this year's Denver International Beer Competition. City Star, Oskar Blues, Wynkoop and Elevation Beer Co. were the only Colorado breweries to receive medals at the U.S. Beer Open. [Eaterwire]
