It's the end of an era at Jax LoDo: bartender Tim Harris is officially moving on. When Jax first opened up in Boulder 19 years ago, Harris was the second official employee of the restaurant that now has four locations. After nearly two decades of faithful service Tim has decided that time is getting away from him and that he is ready to end his career as a bartender and spend more time with his family.
Year after year, Tim was the friendly face that greeted guests from behind the bar. He knew their name and their order and always found a way to make them feel at home. During Tim's career he won the Best Team of Bartenders in Denver award from Westword in 2012. Most important, he made friends and many fans at Jax.
Jax LoDo will celebrate Tim Harris on Thursday, August 15 starting at 8 p.m. The restaurant invites regulars and fans of the bartender to join them for a final farewell. Tim will be on the other side of the bar, getting a drink, and sharing memories.
