Top Chef New Orleans, the 11th season of the popular Bravo TV show, will premier on October 2 and its cast includes Colorado's own Travis Masar. Today, Bravo announced the second batch of contestants for the upcoming fall competition, six West Coast chefs, Masar included.

Chef Masar is a native Coloradoan from La Junta. His last cooking job in Denver was a Uncle. He left the stoves at the LoHi eatery this past spring. Before Uncle, he served as chef de cuisine at Aria. Masar has recently moved to Philadelphia but he insists that his Top Chef presence represents his home state.

The others chefs announced in the same release are Carrie Mashaney (Aragona, Seattle), Shirley Chung (formerly China Poblano by Jose Andres, Las Vegas), Louis Maldonado (Spoonbar, Healdsburg, CA), Ramon Bojorquez (Nine-Ten, La Jolla, CA), and Brian Huskey (Picca, Los Angeles).

More of the cast will be revealed tomorrow. Until then, here's a video preview of Top Chef Season 11:
