H Burger shuttered its original flagship location at 1555 Blake Street earlier this month. Now, reliable sources tell Eater that the space will be taken over by World of Beer, a Florida-based bar chain that focuses on craft beer.
The LoDo location of H Burger opened in February of 2010. That year, it won the Peoples Choice in the 1st annual Denver Burger Battle. A second location was open for only thirteen months on Boulder's Pearl Street. That location, which closed in June, will be taken over by Zeal, a health-focused eatery. Little H Burger remains open at 727 Colorado Boulevard.
World of Beer opened its first Colorado location in April in Glendale's City Set development. Since then, Jax Fish House, Udi's, and Cuba Cuba Sandwicheria also opened at City Set. Earlier this month, the beer-centric bar that features 50 beers on tap and 500 in bottles and cans, opened a second location in Belmar at 7260 W. Alaska Drive. At this time, there is no set opening date for the LoDo location.
