Labor Day Feasts Range From Whole Lamb Roasts to Rocky Mountain Oyster Festivals

Celebrate the long weekend and the end of summer with special events featuring everything from a drink fest with the Denver Passport Finale, a whole lamb roast in Boulder, and a variety of events in the mountains all the way to Aspen where an oyster extravaganza will unleash on Monday.

DENVER PASSPORT FINALE
When: Monday, September 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Where: Horseshoe Lounge.
What: The Denver Passport will finish out the summer two for one drinking in Denver's hot restaurants and bars with a bash. Every passport stamp gets your a raffle ticket, 10 stamps gets you a free drink.

WHOLE LAMB ROAST FEAST
When: Monday, September 2 for dinner service
Where: Oak at Fourteenth, 1400 Pearl Street, Boulder.
What: Chef Steve Redzikowski and sous chef Bill Espiricueta will roast a whole lamb throughout the day and will be breaking it down for a family-style lamb special for that evening only. Dishes are limited and will serve 3-4 people per plate.

LABOR DAY BRUNCH

What: The restaurant will offer its signature "Wild West Brunch" featuring hearty Southwestern-inspired dishes, breakfast cocktails, and the bottomless DIY Bullseye Bloody Mary Bar.

A TASTE OF KEYSTONE

Where: Lakeside Village, Keystone
What: Inventive tastings from a range of Keystone's best chefs in an outdoor setting. Admission to the event is free and tickets for tasting will be available for purchase, plus there will be live music from Packway Handle!

GOURMET ON THE GORE
When: August 30 through September 2.
Where: Along Vail's Gore Creek Drive and Bridge Street
What: An open-air gourmet food and wine festival, showcasing the Vail Valley's premier estaurants as well as wine, beer and spirits from around the world.
The outdoor event offers free admission and a variety of additional pairing events.

2nd ANNUAL ROCKY MOUNTAIN OYSTER FESTIVAL AND BBQ
When: Monday, September 2 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Where: Ajax Tavern, Aspen
What: The party will feature unlimited oysters on the half shell, Rockefeller oysters and other creative oyster hors d'oeuvres including the famed Rocky Mountain oyster. The event is all-you-can-eat and drink and tickets cost $75 per person.
