Tuesday Night: Latte Art Throw Down at Gather

On Tuesday, September 3, from 7 to 9 p.m, Ninety Plus Coffee will sponsor a Latte Art Throw Down contest at Gather. Competing baristas will go head to head, two at a time from a random selection of names. Each barista will steam their own milk and choose any type of drink to make. Once the drinks are made, they will be presented to three judges. The Australian Barista Champion, Craig Simon, will be at Gather as one of the judges. The winner is placed into a second bowl for another round until there is one winner.

Competing baristas simply show up - no advanced sign up. They pay $5 to play, and they receive a complimentary drink ticket for a draft beer. Winner takes all the cash, plus wins a $50 gift card to Gather. Drink specials and extended happy hour ($2 off all alcoholic beverages) will be available to guests all night in the bar from 4 p.m. to close.
