Aviano Coffee- new location

Aviano Coffee, originally open in 2006 in the Beauvallon building in its Golden Triangle, is on its third home, but the new space at 244 Detroit Street seems to be a more permanent one. Don't look for a sign on the door because there isn't one, at least not yet, but the address is displayed clearly.

The cultish java shop that serves only coffee brewed with Intelligentsia beans had to move in January from its original Cherry Creek location, a former Peaberry Coffee shop located at 2nd and St. Paul. After four months of remodeling the new space, husband and wife owners Doug and Saadia Naiman have opened their doors without much fanfare at the end of last week.

The new space is modern and airy featuring a large fully operable garage door at the entrance, reclaimed barn wood cladding the walls, and a whole installation of Edison bulbs over the coffee bar. There are no electrical outlets to plug a laptop in, but plenty of seating available for guests.

Aviano will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for September 26.
