Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja Advances in the Top Four of the Top Chef Masters Competition

New, 8 comments

Chef Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja is one of four remaining chefs on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. Loyal Eater readers rooting for the Denver chef did not sweat the eliminations too much until last night. Back in February, a tipster informed Eater that the James Beard Award winning chef was spotted in LA on the set of the show. At that time, there were five chefs left in the game, Jasinski included. Last night, one of those five, Sang Yoon of Lukshon Restaurant packed his knives and went home.

Not only was chef Jasinski not eliminated last night, she won the quickfire challenge last night with her ketchup-focus dish: Scallop with Ketchup Sauce, Fermented Black Beans, Avocados, and Blood Orange. That brought her $5,000 for her charity, Work Options for Women. And just to crush the competition, she also cooked the winning dishes in the elimination challenge: Guajillo Chile Posole with Shaved Cabbage, Lime, Cilantro, and Queso Fresco and Shrimp, Bass, and Scallop Ceviche with Papaya, Mango, Pineapple, and Plaintain Crisp. Jackpot for that one: $10,000.

Total winnings at this point are $30,000 for Work Options for Women. With four chefs left and only two episodes to go, chef Jasinski will continue to compete for the big prize: $100,000 that the winner will get donated to their charity.

Tune in on Bravo next Wednesday at 8 p.m. to see what happens.
