UPTOWN— Last week, Ace, the Asian-inspired eatery and ping pong hall, became the first restaurant in Denver to carry Baum Cakes, made by local bakery, Glaze. Inspired by the traditional Baumkuchen found in Japan, the cakes "fit perfectly with what we are doing at Ace" said chef Brandon Biederman. The Ace dessert menu currently features the mini Matcha Baum with limoncello icing and lemongrass ice cream, a perfect individual dessert, as well as the Pear Baum; a whole pear wrapped in layers of Baum Cake and coated with a sake ginger glaze, served with a lemongrass ginger mousse. This dessert is meant to be shared among 4 to 6 people. [Eaterwire]
