Frasca Food and Wine's Italian-style á la carte spot the Caffé closed on Sunday for repurposing.
Owners Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, the master sommelier and chef at Frasca Food and Wine, decided to transform the Caffé space into a private event space for their flagship restaurant and theever-busy original location of Pizzeria Locale. The coffee station and refrigeration units are out and a wine station will be added. Wood fixtures and current seating will be refitted to make room for one table that could welcome up to 10 guests.
Since its opening, the Caffé has increasingly been used at night for larger parties and overflow seating, but the casual grab-and-go spot will be missed by many.
Stuckey and Patterson expect the transformation to be completed by February 10.
