Denver's Restaurants Tackle Super Bowl Take Out

There's no better way to watch a Super Bowl than with pizza, fried chicken, and bacon. Denver's chefs and restaurants are serving up some serious take-home eats for Super Bowl XLVIII, including a Superboil from Jax Fish House, multiple options for fried chicken, and Bronco-themed cupcakes. Here are the details:

Friday is the last day to order the Superboil from Jax Fish House: three pounds of Dungeness crab, snow crab, shrimp, andouille sausage and potatoes for $39. Orders must be picked up by 10 p.m. on February 1. Click here for more information.

It's also the last day to order Central Bar & Bistro's Confit Wings with honey-mustard sauce, whiskey-garlic, or classic buffalo sauce. Party packs start at 10 wings for $12, and anything over 40 wings is $1 per wing. Call 303.477.4582 to place an order.

Masterpiece Delicatessen is selling one-pound packages of Denver Bacon Company bacon until the Super Bowl, when The LoHi and Uptown shops close at 3 p.m. Details to be found at masterpiecedeli.com.

Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe, Denver's newest butcher, is slinging pulled pork sandwich kits for Super Bowl Sunday, as well as vegetarian sandwiches, cold cuts, bratwursts, and meatballs. Pre-orders will be available until Friday at 5 p.m.

This week Fire On The Mountain is prepping about 12,000 wings, whipping up nearly 100 gallons of sauce, and cutting a small mountain of celery. Get those orders in early to guarantee your Sunday meal. Call 303.480.9464.

Cherry Creek's Second Home Kitchen + Bar is now accepting takeout orders for smoked wings, brisket, and baby back ribs. A choice of sauces includes black beer barbecue; Colorado gold white BBQ Sauce with a sweet and tangy mustard base; Mountain Man, a traditional wing sauce with chipotle pepper; and the Orange Crush, a traditional buffalo sauce made Bronco orange. Smoked wings by the dozen cost $12, brisket by the pound is $18, and baby back ribs cost $17 for half and $24 for whole racks. Orders can be made by calling 303.316.4697 by noon tomorrow.

Yours Truly Cupcake at 3047 Larimer St. is taking orders for five specialty mini cupcakes made just for the Super Bowl. The cupcakes include Manning's Margarita— the flavor Manning, a Yours Truly regular, always requests— with lime cake and tequila/triple sec frosting and the Blue Moon— Eric Decker's favorite beer— with the wheat beer in the cake and frosting. A box of 35 mini cupcakes costs $25. Orders will be accepted until Friday at 303.638.3528.
