Since Eater's A Pint With Betty Fey of CAUTION: Brewing Co., she's become Betty Wang. Also since that post she and her partner Danny Wang have launched Caution's second location in Lakewood, the city's first craft brewery. The Wangs fondly refer to their two locations as Caution East (12445 E. 39th Ave., Unit 314) and Caution West (1057 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Unit 60).
The East-meets-West vibe brought from owner Danny Wang's Asian and German roots quite literally come to life not only with the brewery's design, but now with the completion of the new space across town. It's a more grandiose version of Caution East, with the same construction-taped feel. The bunnies from the logo of the Caution flagship Hippity Hops IPA have made their appearance across the taproom wall.
"I'm rather partial to Belgian yeast lately," Betty said in the last Eater interview. "So saisons and wits have been calling to me." Her calling has now come to fruition with the Card Your Mom saison and the Split Wit. The new Caution will allow the owners, homebrewers at heart, to begin filling their 16 taps with seasonal beers, experiments, and fresh takes on classic styles.
