For The Dogs: The Bark Bar Is Open, Serving Canned Craft Beer And Coffee

Denverites rejoice this week, as The Bark Bar, the brand new dog park-beer bar at 4132 West 38th Avenue in the Highlands, is open for business. This new concept is brought to you by Catherine Peters, dog-adoring wine lover-turned-beer geek, who will likely remember both your dog's name and what your favorite beer is every time you come back.

In total, the Bark Bar offers more than 80 craft beer labels, with 12 beers on tap, and a huge variety of canned craft beers from small breweries. The full bar also served canine-themed specialty cocktails like the Salty Dog, the Pomeranian with white rum, grapefruit juice and pomegranate juice, and the Bloodhound Bloody Mary. You get to let your dog play while partaking in Colorado's burgeoning canned craft beer scene simultaneously. Bonus: the Bark Bar also features a full coffee bar and internet lounge.

Much as you'd expect from a bar dedicated to our suds and our dogs, the tables are old barrels and the walls are decked out with dog posters. And, of course, there's a comfortable patio where you can watch your furry friends roam the attached 4,000 square foot dog yard. Through colder months, the patio sports heaters, and there are stacks of blankets at the door.

The Bark Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
