High dining gets new meaning as Hapa Sushi rolls out its weed-pairing menu. While wine and food pairings were challenged in recent years by trendier beer or cocktail pairings, the weed is definitely the new frontier for chef and weed sommeliers (can that be a title?).
Currently, the sushi restaurant with locations in Denver and Boulder is offering three food-dope combinations: Pakalolo Shrimp with Pakistani Kush, Honey Miso Salmon with Sour OG, and Katsu Curry with Blue Dream. The print materials on the tables at Hapa also explain that the dining room is "ergonomically designed to reduce paranoia" so patrons can relax and take a toke, without fear that the room will make their inner dark monsters come out.
