Denver bartender Jason Patz was named one of the Best New Mixologists by Food & Wine Magazine. Ten bartenders from across the country were honored on this list chosen by expert mixologists and Food & Wine editors. Patz, who started his mixology career on his 21st birthday as a bartender at P.F. Chang's, can be now be found tending bar at the highly acclaimed speakeasy Williams & Graham.
His menu and personal touch with cocktails received high praise. Among his popular drinks are the scotch and sherry-based End of an Empire, and the rye, Calvados, and pumpkin salted caramel American Pie.
In the interview with the magazine, Patz shared his go-to drink (an old-fashioned), his favorite bar (Denver's PS Lounge), and his favorite food and cocktail pairings (a French 75 with sushi or a good steak with a Vieux Carré).
