Novo Coffee Is Coming to Highlands Square

West Highland residents will have another option for a caffeine fix.

In addition to a roastery and two cafes in Denver, Novo Coffee plans to add a third cafe and retail location at 3617 West 32nd Avenue, at Highlands Square. The former occupant, Yogurt Guru, has vacated the space, making room for the gourmet coffee shop.

The family-owned concept has been in operation since 2002, using beans from around the world that are roasted locally with vintage Vittoria machines. Novo also operates a wholesale program and offers educational coffee "cuppings," or tastings, to the public.

The West Highland area has experienced some turnover in the past year. Salt & Grinder took over where Venue closed, Pizzeria Locale's second location picked up the former home of Common Grounds, and Solitaire will open by the end of the year in the former Highland's Garden Cafe spot.
