DU - Asbury Provisions is partnering with four local breweries, Platt Park, Renegade, Station Twenty Six, and Fort Collins Breweries to benefit SAME café, Denver's first non-profit restaurant. The event is December 11, starting at 5 p.m. The Blue Plate Special Auction will feature old school dishes and craft beer-and all proceeds from these featured specials will go to SAME café. To increase their donation, diners can opt to "bid" more than the cost of the plate on throwback classics like meatloaf, chicken a la king, tuna noodle casserole and more. [Eaterwire]
WESTMINSTER - Executive Chef Jeff Bolton of Kachina Southwestern Grill will host a cooking demonstration and tasting entitled "Back to the Basics" on December 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The class will include how to tie a roast, make basic soup stock, as well as how to prepare a leg of lamb, bacon brussel sprouts, rabbit and house made sausage cassoulet, and holiday punch. LOHI - Grown Flower Shop is having a holiday party and pop-up show at Black Eye Coffee on December 12 at 8 p.m. Grown will have terrariums, wreaths, succulents, and flowers on display and for sale. DOWNTOWN - Edge is spicing up the 12 Days of Christmas with 12 different cocktails! The program kicks off on December 13, with a "Partridge in an Apple Tree" drink. Each day's featured drink is inspired by the associated theme from the 12 Days of Christmas song. All cocktails are $12, and the program concludes on Christmas Eve with a "Drummers Drumming" drink.

Since the last incarnation of the happy hour menu, the number of food offerings has doubled, and all dishes are $5. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and is available at the bar and on the rooftop only.
