OLD SOUTH PEARL STREET - Sushi Den is celebrating 30 years in business on December 24, but the restaurant is celebrating for more than just one day. The Old South Pearl Street staple will offer "Furumai Zake" December 17 through 24, during dinner. Furumai Zake is a traditional thank you gesture to honored guests. Taru is an authentic sake cask, and "Taru Zake" will be served to each guest as they arrive to the restaurant. The complimentary Sake will be served in a wooden serving box, called a "Masu."
SOUTH BROADWAY - The Blue Bonnet is offering seasonal specials and holiday treats for low prices now through Christmas. Included on the seasonal specials, the house cranberry margarita, enchiladas or chicken mole, and a seasonal pumpkin flan.
FORT COLLINS - New Belgium Brewing was recently honored by the American Sustainable Business Council with a SUSTY (Sustainable Policymakers Award) award. The award is given to companies that have exemplary leadership in driving forward policies that help build a more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable America.
AURORA - There's two new barrel-aged beers on the market, courtesy of Dry Dock Brewing Company. The Double Brown Ale is a double-strength English brown ale with a nutty, caramel backbone and pronounced, earthy bitterness. The Double Hazelnut Brown Ale is aged in whiskey barrels with added hazelnut, which creates its earthy, nutty complexity and caramel, toffee-forward aroma. The two beers are on liquor store shelves across the state. Less than 200 cases of each beer will be distributed.
DOWNTOWN - Edge is spicing up the 12 Days of Christmas with 12 different cocktails! The program kicks off on December 13, with a "Partridge in an Apple Tree" drink. Each day's featured drink is inspired by the associated theme from the 12 Days of Christmas song. All cocktails are $12, and the program concludes on Christmas Eve with a "Drummers Drumming" drink.
