Acclaimed bartender Sean Kenyon has fabulous plans for growth in Denver in 2015. The Occidental, next-door and more casual little brother to his LoHi Williams & Graham, will open in the spring.
By summer, Kenyon, in collaboration with Matchbox owner Justin
Anthony and Lisa Vedovelli, will open American Bonded at 2706 Larimer Street just across the street from the new Meadowlark Kitchen. The new RiNo spot "will be a classic neighborhood bar and kitchen with a focus on American food, whiskey, wines and beers," says Kenyon.
Anthony, who has operated his bar just a block away from the last five years, says he partnered with Kenyon on the new venture "because we both obsess about customer service and we both believe that a great cocktail doesn't have to come at a high price."
With American classics and a smokehouse element on the food side, American Bonded will emphasize whiskey but also offer a full wine, beer, and cocktail menu. "Approachability is what we're going for above all else," Anthony explained.
