Folsom Street Coffee Forced From CU-Boulder Space

Campus officials gave the café 30 days to evacuate the outlet, making room for a new local vendor.

Just two years after the shutter of the flagship location and six years after the entrance at the University of Colorado in BoulderFolsom St. Coffee Co. is being pushed from its current space on campus, reports the Daily Camera. The team at Folsom was shocked, noting that they've "never had any feedback, good or bad." Community members are surprised, reacting with almost 150 signatures on a Folsom-initiated petition in a single day.

Citing failed lease negotiations and a demand for an expanded food selection, campus officials are hoping to secure a local vendor to fill the need. No word yet on who's to take over, but CU anticipates to make the announcement early spring semester.
