There's another addition coming to the Berkeley neighborhood next year, this time in the form of Il Porcellino Salumi. The cured meat shop and deli was originally slated to open on Santa Fe Drive at the Yard complex, but following construction delays the decision was made to pursue a different location.

The new spot, it turns out, is the former Tennyson Hardware building at West 41st Avenue and Tennyson Street. Targeting an opening sometime next spring, head butcher Brian Albano and chef-owner Bill Miner, both of Relish Catering, are bringing Il Porcellino to the neighborhood.

With the curing process already underway, look for a selection that includes coppa, lonza, nduja, chorizo, and more. All the meats will come from in-state, creating a "Colorado cured" farmhouse atmosphere.
