First Year Anniversary at Lower 48, Beer Release, Chocolate Class

These are some of the best events and specials you should keep an eye out for.

BALLPARK - Today, Lower48 celebrates the anniversary of its first year of business. In honor of this, the restaurant offers one dollar drink and food specials all night long. The special includes: $1 "Each" menu items, $1 beers, $1 specialty punch. These specials are available at the bar or in the dining room; the regular menu is also available.

DENVER - On Tuesday, December 9, Sage Restaurant Group's three Denver area locations-Second Home Kitchen + Bar, The Corner Office, and Kachina Southwestern Grill-will host a "Dine Out for Childhood Hunger" event for Share Our Strength's "No Kid Hungry" campaign, which will specifically benefit the organization's Cooking Matters Colorado program. Ten percent of proceeds from that day will go to Cooking Matters Colorado. Additionally, The Fort Restaurant and La Loma Mexican Restaurant will also donate 10% of proceeds.

RINO - Tonight, Crooked Stave will tap its Blackberry Dark Origins, a dark sour ale aged in whiskey barrels with blackberries. The taproom inside the Source will start serving the beer at 6 p.m.

DENVER - Old Chicago's "Explorer Series" continues with a collaboration with the Boulevard and Odell Brewing Companies. This installment celebrates the 25th anniversary of the two breweries. In honor, Boulevard and Odell have teamed up to introduce the Silver Anniversary Ale, the featured beer for this Old Chicago Explorer Series. The brew is only available in a handful of states, Colorado included. In addition, the series will also feature other selections from Boulevard and Odell, as well as special anniversary tappings that will be released on each anniversary date.

CITY PARK - Piece, Love & Chocolate has a Science, Craft Beer & Chocolate class, held at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The class is December 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. The night features Dr. Nicole Garneau Ph.D, Chair of Health Science Department and Curator of Human Health at DMNS; Jeff Mendel, Partner, Director and "Beer Ambassador" for Left Hand Brewing Co and CEO of Sapere Aude; and Sarah Amorese, Chocolatier and Chef Owner of Piece, Love & Chocolate.
