Halfte Oktoberfest, Salsa Pairings, and P.M. Brunch: The Rest of March Is Soaked In Beer

March is a big month for Colorado craft beer drinkers. From March 21 through 29, there will be a slew of special tappings, beer festivals, pairing dinners, and other events all in the name of Colorado Craft Beer Week. Also going down this month are the launch of Denver author Patrick Dawson's new book Vintage Beer, and beer dinners at Former Future and Strange. Here's a sampling of Denver's beer-centric events happening through the rest of the month.

VINTAGE BEER RELEASE PARTY
When: March 13; 5 to 7 p.m.
Where: Crooked Stave at The Source
What: This week the new book Vintage Beer comes out, giving advice to beer geeks about how to create and maintain a beer cellar. "Chad Yakobson did the technical editing on the book, so it's great to be able to celebrate it with him," says author Patrick Dawson.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY BEER DINNER
When: March 17; 5 p.m.
Where: Former Future Brewing Co.
What: This holiday themed meal consists of four beer-paired courses with Mike's Kitchen.

FARM TO TABLE WITH STRANGE AND WATERCOURSE
When: Wednesday, March 19; 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Strange Brewing Company
What: This four-course vegetarian dinner will be paired with 5 Strange beers.

COLORADO TAP INVASION
When: March 21 through 29; 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Lowry Beer Garden
What: The Beer Garden has teamed up with Epic and Odell for this Colorado Craft Beer Week tap takeover. Each day, each brewery will feature four different beers.

HALFTE OKTOBERFEST
When: March 22; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Lone Tree Brewing Company
What: This kick-off event features Weisen-style Oktoberfest beer and grub from El Toro The Tot.

SALSA & BEER PAIRING
When: March 24; 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Epic Brewing Company
What: Epic's brewer Kim Collins and the women's beer club Barley's Angels presents this beer pairing with locally made tomatillo, red, smoky jalapeno, and habanero salsas.

COLORADO BEER TRIVIA NIGHT
When: March 24; 7 p.m.
Where: Lucky Pie Louisville
What: Elevation Beer Company and Lucky Pie Louisville present a fun night of Trivia and beer. Enjoy four rounds of Colorado Beer related Trivia during Colorado Beer Week, while sipping on one of 7 Elevation Beer's on tap.

BELGIAN PALE ALE BARREL AGED FRUIT BEERS RELEASE PARTY
When: March 25
Where: Upslope Brewing Lee Hill Tap Room;
What: Upslope will release the limited release Belgian-style pale ale in red wine barrels with a variety of fruits— cranberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blood oranges. The Burger Radio food truck will join the party at 5:00 p.m.

BARREL-AGED HAMMER & SICKLE RELEASE
When: March 25; 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Renegade Brewing
What: Just in time for Colorado Craft Beer week, Renegade Brewing will release a collaboration with Feisty Spirits of Fort Collins: a rye bourbon barrel-aged Hammer & Sickle Russian imperial stout.

P.M. BEER BRUNCH AT SNOOZE
When: March 25; 6:30 p.m.
Where: Snooze on Larimer Street
What: The inaugural P.M. Beer Brunch at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. Four Great Divide beers will paired with four Snooze brunch favorites.
