We couldn't conquer Pizza Week 2014 without thinking about our food trucks, too. Denver has an impressive number of mobile wood-fired pizza ovens, and a surprising number of pizza catering services. Here's the skinny.
Basic Kneads is a fleet of trucks with wood-fired ovens that roam the city serving classic pies like Margherita and Hawaiian. This popular truck also features funky pies like the sweet thai chili chicken with cilantro and green onion, and falafel pizza. Basic Kneads can often be found posted up outside of one of Denver's brewery taprooms. Find the truck schedule here.
A mobile unit of Fat Sully's New York Pizza, Fat Sully's Slice Truck offers $3.50 cheese slices, and you-pick toppings like pineapple and Canadian bacon. Find the complete menu and truck locations here.
Launched last May, Amore Pizza serves New York-style slices on the corner of Market and 20th streets downtown in front of The View House. Click here to see the menu.
The BICO truck offers Bistro Colorado's artisan pizzas like The Sky with pineapple, duck, and jalapeños and The Mountain with mushrooms and black truffle oil. Click here to track it down.
The Ablaze truck specializes in wood-fired pizza, with fresh flavors like the Greek chicken pizza. Roaming Hunger also recommends The Rustica, The Flamethrower, and The Woodsman pizzas. Ablaze is Longmont-based, but the truck rolls all over the Front Range. Find it here.
Epicurean Catering created a custom wood-fired pizza atop a truck for a catering concept called called Epic Street Cuisine. To learn more about the truck, click here.
Another pizza truck with a wood burning oven, Brava! Pizzeria, makes Neopolitan style pizzas with ingredients sourced from Colorado farms. Brava! often slings slices from Prost Brewing and Denver Beer Co. Click here to see the full calendar.
