Justin Cucci to Open Vegan-Friendly Spot in Berkeley

Justin Cucci, chef and owner at RootDown and Linger, will bring some of his magic and vision to the Berkeley neighborhood. Cucci is planning to open a restaurant in a building located at 3915 Tennyson Street. The word on the block is that the new joint will be vegetarian and vegan-friendly and that it will have a strong juicing program.

Cucci purchased the 3415 square foot one-story space that used to house the Mountain Man Fruit & Nut Co. last year. What is now a funky wood-shingled 70's building with purple and lavender trim will be soon transformed into an eatery with a full liquor license. The restaurateur says January 2015 is an optimistic timeline.
