Tomorrow, Wednesday May 28, starting at 6:30 p.m., Harman's Eat & Drink will host the second Unsung Heroes dinner.
While the executive chef of a restaurant is the ultimate authority in a kitchen, there are many minds and hands that create the plates diners enjoy that every night. Unsung Heroes is a bimonthly dinner series aimed at putting the spotlight on sous chefs, chefs de cuisine, line cooks and more. It is an opportunity for the team behind the executive chef to show off and shine.
Every other month at Harman's Eat & Drink, a group of five chefs will gather in Cherry Creek to cook for you. There is a passed appetizer reception, followed by five courses paired with five beverages. Each dinner will feature a different theme and all net proceeds will be donated to a local cause with serious relevance to the food we eat and the people we cook for.
Tomorrow's dinner is entitled 'Merica, Hell Yeah! The chefs prepared creative takes on classic American dishes. The featured chefs are Ryan Gorby of ChoLon, Joe Pothier of Bistro Vendome, Josh Seltvedt of Jax Fish House Glendale, Lee Reitz of Luca D'Italia, and John Little of Harman's Eat & Drink. Chicken and waffles, BLTs, caramel apple pie variations, and more will be served to guests for $65 per person.
