CITY PARK— The City Park Ice Cream Social will be Friday, May 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., located at the park's pavilion and bandshell. The free event includes ice cream from Boulder Ice Cream, face painting, historical costumes and music from the Denver Municipal Band.
BERKELEY— BookBar is marking its first anniversary with an all-day celebration on Saturday, May 31. Specials will include 25 percent off books and merchandise from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 25 percent off food and beverage from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be a magic show at 2 p.m., samples of spring menu items throughout the day and book trivia with prizes every hour.
GOLDEN— On Saturday, May 31 the Better Block Golden Street Party will set out to transform Miner's Alley from dawn to dusk. Festivities include art, music performances throughout the day and food trucks. Look for specials like $3 punch and $5 pork sandwiches at nearby Golden Moon Speak, where the party will move indoors from 8 p.m. to midnight.
BERKELEY— Join Hops & Pie on Saturday, May 31 at noon for its second annual Littlest Big Wild & Sour Fest. Check out tappings of rare and special beers like Tilquin's Oude Gueuze and Consecration from Russian River. Flights and single pours will be available, and no tickets are necessary.
RINO— To kick off Colorado Wine Week, the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology is hosting the Farm-to-Turntable Keg Wine Party on Sunday, June 1 at 6 p.m. The event, held at Infinite Monkey Theorem, will feature several top wines served from the tap, five courses of passed food and music. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Heroes Like Us, a chef-driven nonprofit that fights childhood hunger. Tickets cost $25, which includes food and one glass of wine, and can be purchased here.
