Cafe Bar Lands Former Il Posto's Kitchen Crew

Chefs Jeffrey Webb and Lucas Chandler who ran the kitchen alongside Andrea Frizzi at Il Posto until months ago, have taken over the stoves at Cafe Bar. Webb is the new executive chef at the Wash Park cafe and he brought on Chandler, former Il Posto chef di cuisine and longtime friend. Cafe Bar's new focus will be on utilizing local and seasonal flavors while incorporating the duo's eclectic style of food.

Since leaving Il Posto, the pair has hosted Blank Slate Pop Up, a series of dinners at interesting locations. They will still host these events for the time being while transitioning Cafe Bar's food to a new menu and approach. Even though the pair has years of experience in Italian flavors, the new menu at this eatery will have influences rooted in Spanish, Mediterranean and French cuisine.
